Artist “Frisson” defies stereotypes of today's mainstream Hip-Hop and Rap music scene, delivering rich rhythms with a message of motivation. For those starving for something different and bored by today’s predictable urban music machine, he challenges consciousness with truth and positivity and captures something undeniably essential that we all thirst for.

“Frisson” a French word for “a sudden feeling of excitement or emotion,” is the name that describes the energy and intention of this unstoppable artist.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Frisson grew up cultivating his musical talents in church and continued that path through school, graduating from Pittsburgh’s Creative and Performing Arts High School (CAPA).

Even as a young and developing artist, Frisson’s lyrical vocabulary was unique. Now as a result of numerous life experiences – from living as a black man in America and serving in the U.S. military, to marrying his high school sweetheart and becoming a father, Frisson’s lyrical perspective has come even more into focus and relevant to the times.

As the universal hunger for a seismic shift in mainstream urban music only grows, Frisson steps out into the frontier to deliver something straight from a place of musical depth, social accountability and power.
